I start with 100 percent cotton, slightly textured, cold pressed paper. A light sketch or tracing start to shape the design. Saving the white of the paper I begin multiple pours and glazes, the colors blending into the paper's fibers. There are endless color possibilities and incredible light effects as the paint dries. Additives such as salt, sediment, inks, and iridescent pigments are sometimes added. Finishing with direct painting and the final touch of adding my signature with a glass pen dipped in pigment.

working with your hands...
